Terms of Use — True North Post

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of True North Post (the “Site”) at https://truenorthpost.ca, operated by Sivaiah Technologies Inc. (“Company”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. References to dates and times use the America/Toronto time zone.

1) About the Site

  • What we do: Independent Canadian digital news publication featuring Canada-first coverage of government, business, courts, world affairs, and sports/tech/culture.
  • AI disclosure: Portions of content are generated with artificial intelligence or automated tools. Errors or omissions may occur.
  • No accounts or submissions: We do not operate user accounts or host user comments or uploads.

3) Ownership & IP

Unless stated otherwise, all articles, text, images, graphics, audio/video, and page layouts (the “Content”) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Canadian and international copyright, moral rights, and trademark laws. Third-party marks are the property of their owners.

4) Limited Licence & Attribution Requirements

5) Prohibited Conduct

  • Infringe IP or moral rights, remove attribution, or misrepresent the source of Content;
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access, copy, or index the Site beyond ordinary consumer use or as permitted by these Terms;
  • Circumvent security, rate limits, or access controls, or interfere with Site operation.

6) Links & Third-Party Materials

The Site links to third-party sites and may quote documents (e.g., government records, court materials). We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability. Links do not imply endorsement.

7) Cookies & Analytics (Overview)

To support and measure our operations we use:

  • Analytics/measurement: Google Analytics, Bing Webmaster Tools, Microsoft Clarity.
  • Cookies: Analytics/performance cookies to understand traffic and improve the Site.

What we collect directly: We do not operate user accounts or host web forms. If you email us, we will process your email and any information you provide to respond.

12) Changes, Availability & Termination

We may update these Terms or the Site at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effectiveDate above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue the Site without notice.

13) Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction.

14) Accessibility
